Advanced Animation is focused on creating a large scale project throughout the course of the class. Students will create their own set of characters and develop a compelling narrative. Using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Animate, students will create a series of shorts or a long run animation using their characters and narrative.

Ages 7-10

Design and program video games using Scratch! Scratch is an MIT designed programming language that is specifically designed to make programming fun and easy. Students will start with the hour of code and then build several simple games to learn the ins and outs of how to program with Scratch. By the end of the class, students will have originally designed video games to share with friends and family!

Ages 6-12 (Children will be grouped by age & experience)

Build robots with modular parts and make them move using sensors, motors and our Scratch-based coding program. RoboThink’s step-by-step projects introduce engineering concepts through engaging activities and challenges. RoboThink is a hands-on learning experience where kids maximize self-learning and discover that building robots is easy, educational and fun! RoboThink programs cultivate creativity, problem solving capabilities and an interest for learning through project based robotics activities.

With over 100 unique robots to build and maneuver, every RoboThink course will offer something different. Even if you've taken a RoboThink class before, there will be something new to explore in this session. For children ages 6-12.

12:45PM | Design a Level for Dungeons and Dragons

Pick up a pencil, grab your laptop, and jump into the role of a Level Designer! In this class you will develop a level (or dungeon) for the tabletop game Dungeon and Dragons. You will start by developing a concept and slowly bring it to life by exploring the various facets of Game Design. This includes storytelling, science, probability, psychology, game development critical thinking, and drawing. Students will also have the opportunity to play test their levels and gather data from their classmates. Suitable for any edition of Dungeons and Dragons or other RPG games, we encourage anyone interested in Level Design to join.

Ages 8-12

Learn to design and build original objects using 3D Printers! Students will create awesome 3D printed objects using TinkerCAD! Create character models, pencil holders, name tags and whatever else you can think of. If you can dream it up and model it you can bring it into the real world! TinkerCAD is AutoDesk's 100% open source software, so students can continue to create even after camp is over.

Bring the versatile medium of clay to life in videos! Create awesome animated videos using visual storytelling and other advanced stop motion animation skills. Once the pictures are taken, edit your film with music and sound effects. By the end of the class, you’ll have a larger understanding of stop motion animation and other film techniques!

Ages 5-8

Become a digital comic artist! Students will start by working with their instructor and each other to create their own original characters and stories. They will then sketch out their stories with paper and pencils. Once their storyboards are compete, they will create their comics digitally using digital drawing software and drawing tablets. Best of all, students can leave with their comic printed!
